This strategy completely bypasses traditional ground defenses, rendering enemy Cannons, Bomb Towers, and ground-melee troops completely useless.

However, playing LavaLoon effectively requires an incredibly specific mindset; you are abandoning the ground war entirely, which leaves your towers highly vulnerable to fast rushes.

How LavaLoon Works

As the Hound approaches the river, you drop the Balloon directly behind it, slightly closer to the outer edge of the map.

Furthermore, when the Lava Hound finally dies, it 'pops' into a swarm of six fiery Lava Pups.

• A perfectly timed Lightning spell will instantly destroy the opponent's Inferno Tower and Musketeer, clearing the path.
• The 'Miner' is a fantastic secondary win condition for this deck.
• You will often trade towers in the first two minutes.

Surviving the Counter-Attack

The absolute hardest part of playing LavaLoon is surviving the ground phase of the game, especially against fast Cycle or Bridge Spam decks.

While the enemy is busy fighting the skeletons spawned by the Tombstone, your Mega Minion can safely kill them from the air.

The Threat	Your Counter-Play
Inferno Tower (Melts the Lava Hound instantly)	Use a Zap spell to reset the damage beam, or use Lightning to severely damage the building and stun it
Executioner + Tornado Combo	Do not clump your Balloon directly behind the Hound; space them out significantly so the Tornado cannot group them

The Aerial Victory

When you perfectly execute the combo and watch the opponent's anti-air defenses completely fail, you will understand the true power of the archetype.
